Liehsja - harpist, composer, teacher

Liehsja began the folk harp at 9 years old in Scotland, and went on to learn the pedal harp at 12 in Sussex. Passing grade 8 with Distinction, she went on to study with tutors from the Birmingham Conservatoire and the Royal Academy, graduating from Keele University with a First in Performance in 2003.

Since then, her playing has taken her as far afield as Chicago and Hong Kong, and to many prestigious venues in the UK, such as Kensington Palace and Sandhurst Military Academy. As a member of a folk band for 7 years, she has performed at countless venues and festivals.

Her repertoire spans Classical, Romantic, Popular, Musicals, Film, Traditional and her own original compositions.

"Dear Liehsja,
Many weeks flew by since the day you graced our wedding with the heavenly sounds of your harp. Peter and I would like to thank you for your art and dedication, for your music and sensitivity. Your presence lifted everyone's spirit... I send you my wishes of uplifting many more occasions and joy as you dance on your path of music. With love, Pupak"
